Raven Guard Shrike conversion complete

Here he is. I won't be painting this guy, he'll be shipped off to his owner shortly and he'll be painting him up. You can click on any of the images below for the larger version. He didn't turn out too bad.

He was a real challenge to do. I figured I could pull the pose off, but I wasn't completely sure how I was going to do it when I started. To see the construction process, check out the Project link.

  2. Very nice and very dynamic. Really looks like he is on his way somewhere and is going to kick arse. I hope whoever he leads looks the part:) Top notch and better than the stock GW mini.

Any chance you can coax your customer to send you some pictures of the painted mini? I and probably many with me wants to see the final final result:)

The pose is so dynamic, I love it! But most of all, the head conversion is just great.

    Great work!

  4. Will be the coolest mini on the table. Tell the client he owes you some pics when it's painted

  5. Nice job on the conversion. One of the best looking jobs of doing a Shrike I have seen, even without the paint. Hope the clients paint job does the mini justice.

  10. I wish you could send this to GW to have them remold their Shrike model. I feel this is how it should have looked to begin with. Another great piece. If I ever think of something as cool as this I would hire you in an instant to create it.

  11. This is amazing!
I love to make my marines more dynamic than simply sticking them together straight from the pack.
I haven't started GSing my conversions yet ~ I would love to have your skills!
    Delightful.

May I brag about this piece (and give a link to this page) on the Bolter and Chainsword forum?

  12. Marshall: Absolutely, he's been posted in one of the forums there so the Raven Guard players could see him and he's gotten a warm reception there.

  14. Thanks guys, I'm fortunate I didn't end up in over my head on this one and that he came out much closer than I thought he would.

  15. I know I'm a little late coming to this post but I have to say that this model is fantastic. The GS work is sharp and clean and the pose is perfect. It conveys the simple and intense aggression of a predator running down its prey. Very nice!
